Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries
I make these fries on a daily basis, or I try to eat some other vitamin A rich food each and every day to optimize my skin health. You can make them in the oven, but air fryers are faster and easier for me, but they aren’t a great choice when you have to cook for a family because even the large capacity units are still pretty small. I have this one and I like it a lot as a single person. Find what you enjoy, and feel free to mix it up. I also take a vitamin A supplement (consult your doctor before taking any new supplements), but here are some other vitamin A rich foods you could incorporate into your diet on a daily basis:
Orange and yellow vegetables and fruits
Other sources of beta-carotene such as broccoli, spinach, and most dark green, leafy vegetables
Cod liver oil
Pasture raised eggs
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE FRIES
1 medium sweet potatoes, peeled or unpeeled and cut into 1/4" sticks
1 T EVOO
1/4 t. garlic powder (optional)
1/4 t chili powder or paprika (optional)
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper (optional)
DIPPING SAUCE
We like Sir Kinsington Chipotle Mayo or Karam’s Original Garlic Sauce but use what you like!
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, toss sweet potatoes with oil and spices. Season with salt and pepper. Alternatively, just pop everything straight into the air fryer, spray EVOO and spindly salt and do a quick toss for a lazy version.
Spread an even layer of sweet potato fries in fryer basket. Cook at 375° for 8 minutes, flip fries, then cook 8 minutes more. You can also just use the preset temp and cook for 15 mins shaking once or twice to flip the sticks.
Serve fries with sauce on the side for dipping.
